 | | 1986 Statue of Liberty $5 Gold Coin
Price: $597.00
The Statue of Liberty has welcomed countless immigrants and visitors to America since her dedication on October 28, 1886. In 1986, to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Statue of Liberty, Congress authorized the minting of three different coins honoring our first lady of freedom. Part of the original purchase price of each coin was used to restore the Statue and Ellis Island, and to create an endowment for the future maintenance of this national monument. The half-dollar and silver dollar coins were very popular, but it was the solid gold five-dollar coin that became an instant collectible. It was the first five-dollar commemorative gold coin ever issued by the U.S. government and, by law, only 500,000 would ever be minted.Limitation: 500,000 PiecesMaterial: Gold (900/1000)Weight: 8.36 gIssue year: 1986Diameter: 21.59 mmQuality: PPCountry: USAFace value: 5 DollarCustomer can only order up to 5 pcs.
